Joanne Wade DipREA FNAEA MARLA

Managing Director


Joanne Wade commenced her career with M.Coleman Estate Agents in January 2000 in the Kingswood Office as a sales progression and administrative co-ordinator, later that year a negotiating position became available and with her enthusiasm and passion for the industry was promoted to Senior Negotiator. Joanne states "I have always believed that to offer the highest quality service that our clients deserve and put M.Coleman ahead of the rest, it is necessary to fully understand the business and be compliant with legislation. The ethos behind M.Coleman Estate Agents has also always been for the directors to lead from the front and that is why it is essential for me to continue to take a very active part in all the day to day activities of the business, including carrying out Sales and Lettings Market Appraisals, viewings and all other client contact. ." She also promotes the pursuit of excellence in all her staff and she gained her professional qualifications in 2005 when she successfully passed her Diploma in Residential Property through The Manchester Open Learning and continues her studies for The Diploma in Residential Lettings.

This hard work and dedication saw her career progress from Branch Manager to Managing Director and Joanne sucessfully took over the business from founder Maria Coleman in February 2017.  She combines this busy role as a professional business woman with that of her family role with her husband and two boys. Joanne says "I believe this gives me the edge in the industry, I totally understand the stress involved for families whether selling or buying or renting - seeking the right property for their family in the right location and at the right price can be very stressful. It is our job at M.Coleman to help everyone through this difficult process." Joanne's view on good business practice in that it is quality not quantity that matters, resulting in M Coleman Estate Agents being one of the few Independent companies in the area celebrating over 25 years in business.

Ben Trowell

Senior Sales Negotiator


Ben joined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2013 after returning to Bristol, his home City. Ben attended Bristol Cathedral School and is a University Graduate achieving a BSc(Hons) at Kingston University. After a successful career in Recruitment, Ben commenced his career in property in 2009 for a national corporate agency based in Altringham in the North West. When Ben joined M Coleman Estate Agents he brought with him a depth of local and national knowledge to the industry that combined with his excellent customer service skills and a determination to succeed in his role as a Sales Negotiator and Co-ordinator. Ben's ability as a negotiator to achieve the best possible price for our vendor clients is exemplary and when a buyer is introduced his diligence in sales progression is much appreciated by both parties in helping to relieve the stress at this important stage of the transaction. Ben has recently accepted a promotion to Senior Sales Negotiator and continues to be an asset to the M Coleman sales team.

Jayne Shepherd

Lettings Manager


Jayne Shepherd accepted a promotion to Lettings Manager in 2015 after joining the company in 2014 in a co-ordinating role. Jayne offers over 30 years experience in Estate Agency in the BS16 area in various roles including Negotiator, Co-ordinator and Property Management. Jayne has lived in the Downend and Staple Hill area most of her life successfully combining her career whilst raising her children. Jayne’s local knowledge and experience of the area combined with her personable and professional approach to business makes her an invaluable asset to the M Coleman team.

Debbie Greatwood MARLA

Lettings Associate


Debbie joined our team in January 2021 after starting her career in property in 2014 for a local agency in BS16. During her career to date, Debbie has successfully passed her Level 2 and 3 exams in Lettings and Property Management bringing to the team both experience and exemplary knowledge of industry regulation and law.  Debbie is very much a family person combining her successful career with that of raising her two children. She says, "I love my role in Lettings, no day is the same, whether its viewings and helping tenants find their new home, or arranging property repairs, I thoroughly enjoying helping tenants and landlords achieve this".

 

Jacob Brown

Sales Negotiator



Jacob joined our team in December 2020 after starting his property career for a hybrid company and then moving on to an independent agency. Jacob has worked in both sales and lettings and brings to us his experience in both of these sectors. Jacob is ambitious and enthusiastic and along side his role as Sales Negotiator is continuing his learning by studying a Bsc Honours in Computing, IT and Business via open university. 
Jacob brings sunshine to a rainy day, he is proactive, keen to please and offers a second to none service to our vendors and purchasers. 
 

 

Joshua Smart

Part Time Negotiator


Josh joined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2019 bringing with him sales experience in Recruitment and Finance. Josh is from Downend and attended local schools Bromley Heath Infants and Juniors and Winterbourne International Academy achieving 9 GCSEs at grades C and above and 3 A Levels. After finishing sixth form, Josh took a few temporary positions to gain experience in the sales field before being offered a permanent position at M Coleman. In September 2020, Josh made the decision to leave Bristol to study History and Politics at Manchester University however remains a part time member of the M Coleman team providing holiday cover and weekend support.

Julie Condell

Accounts Clerk


Julie rejoined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2017 as an Accounts Clerk after previously working for the company between 2005 and 2013 in a Lettings Management role. Julie has a great understanding of our business values and its systems and has been welcomed back by the team. She is well known to our clients and customers and offers valued support to all departments.

Nigel Patterson

Independent Mortgage Advisor


Nigel Patterson has worked in conjunction with M.Coleman Estate Agency for over 8 years, offering advice and support to both current home buyers and sellers and is quite often able to help tenants who have been in our rented properties to plan for the future. Whilst Nigel is completely independent of M.Coleman Estate Agents and all information discussed with him is completely confidential between him and his client, he is very much part of the M.Coleman team and the ethos of high service standards is at the forefront of his business acumen.
