Managing Director

Joanne Wade commenced her career with M.Coleman Estate Agents in January 2000 in the Kingswood Office as a sales progression and administrative co-ordinator, later that year a negotiating position became available and with her enthusiasm and passion for the industry was promoted to Senior Negotiator. Joanne states "I have always believed that to offer the highest quality service that our clients deserve and put M.Coleman ahead of the rest, it is necessary to fully understand the business and be compliant with legislation. The ethos behind M.Coleman Estate Agents has also always been for the directors to lead from the front and that is why it is essential for me to continue to take a very active part in all the day to day activities of the business, including carrying out Sales and Lettings Market Appraisals, viewings and all other client contact. ." She also promotes the pursuit of excellence in all her staff and she gained her professional qualifications in 2005 when she successfully passed her Diploma in Residential Property through The Manchester Open Learning and continues her studies for The Diploma in Residential Lettings.

This hard work and dedication saw her career progress from Branch Manager to Managing Director and Joanne sucessfully took over the business from founder Maria Coleman in February 2017.  She combines this busy role as a professional business woman with that of her family role with her husband and two boys. Joanne says "I believe this gives me the edge in the industry, I totally understand the stress involved for families whether selling or buying or renting - seeking the right property for their family in the right location and at the right price can be very stressful. It is our job at M.Coleman to help everyone through this difficult process." Joanne's view on good business practice in that it is quality not quantity that matters, resulting in M Coleman Estate Agents being one of the few Independent companies in the area celebrating over 20 years in business.

Louise Chapman

Branch Manager

Louise started her career in the Estate Agency Business as a trainee in Downend and progressed her career through to a Branch Manager at a leading Independent firm in Fishponds. She has a natural sales flare and coupled with her business acumen and determination is driving forward a successful career in the property industry. Louise took a break from Estate Agency following the birth of her daughter but never lost her passion and enthusiasm for property and we were delighted when she accepted a position with M. Coleman Estate Agents. She has held the position of Assistant Branch Manager since 2012 primarily managing the sales department under the leadership of Joanne Wade. Her motivation to succeed and commitment to M Coleman Estate Agents has in no small way helped the company grow from strength to strength in what has been an exceedingly difficult period in the Property Industry. Her hard work has been rewarded by her receiving shares in MCEA in April 2013.

Her extensive knowledge of the area makes her an exceptional valuer to achieve the right price for the seller at the same time her drive and determination helps find the right buyer for any home. Louise thrives on success and says " I take great pride in the fact that we combine a modern approach with the use of media and internet technology but I firmly believe in the values founded on professional integrity. Our client, the seller is very important to us, this means we should not be waiting for the phone to ring from buyers scanning the web. We are being paid to be pro- active and that means having an up to date register of buyers to telephone as soon as we market a property."

Ben Trowell

Sales Negotiator

Ben joined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2013 after returning to Bristol, his home City. Ben attended Bristol Cathedral School and is a University Graduate achieving a BSc(Hons) at Kingston University. After a successful career in Recruitment, Ben commenced his career in property in 2009 for a national corporate agency based in Altringham in the North West. When Ben joined M Coleman Estate Agents he brought with him a depth of local and national knowledge to the industry that combined with his excellent customer service skills and a determination to succeed in his role as a Sales Negotiator and Co-ordinator. Ben's ability as a negotiator to achieve the best possible price for our vendor clients is exemplary and when a buyer is introduced his diligence in sales progression is much appreciated by both parties in helping to relieve the stress at this important stage of the transaction. Ben is an asset to the company and we wish him a long and successful career with M Coleman Estate Agents.

Jayne Shepherd

Lettings Manager

Jayne Shepherd accepted a promotion to Lettings Manager in 2015 after joining the company in 2014 in a co-ordinating role. Jayne offers over 30 years experience in Estate Agency in the BS16 area in various roles including Negotiator, Co-ordinator and Property Management. Jayne has lived in the Downend and Staple Hill area most of her life successfully combining her career whilst raising her children. Jayne’s local knowledge and experience of the area combined with her personable and professional approach to business makes her an invaluable asset to the M Coleman team.

Toby Read

Trainee Lettings Negotiator

Toby joined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2017 bringing with him experience from previous customer service roles. Graduating sixth form in 2016 with awards in Business and Economics, he was keen to pursue a career in Estate Agency.  Toby is ambitious and keen to learn and was welcomed into the firm to support our growing Lettings Team.

We intend to continue to support Toby in his learning and we wish him a successful career with the company.

Heather Duggan

Saturday Receptionist

Heather joined our team in 2015 after retiring from her full time role as a Civil Servant. Heather was keen not to give up work altogether and after marketing her own home, found a keen interest in the property industry. Heather is a valued member of our front office team at weekends.

Julie Condell

Accounts Clerk

Julie rejoined M Coleman Estate Agents in 2017 as an Accounts Clerk after previously working for the company between 2005 and 2013 in a Lettings Management role. Julie has a great understanding of our business values and its systems and has been welcomed back by the team. She is well known to our clients and customers and offers valued support to all departments.

Nigel Patterson

Independent Mortgage Advisor

Nigel Patterson has worked in conjunction with M.Coleman Estate Agency for over 8 years, offering advice and support to both current home buyers and sellers and is quite often able to help tenants who have been in our rented properties to plan for the future. Whilst Nigel is completely independent of M.Coleman Estate Agents and all information discussed with him is completely confidential between him and his client, he is very much part of the M.Coleman team and the ethos of high service standards is at the forefront of his business acumen.
